Recently we were asked to photograph a set of jewellery items from a Melbourne importer and supplier. With stipulations that; to the best of our ability we create images that fit in with the images the company had created previously with another photographer.

This is always achievable but can take longer to get the look right then you would first imagine.

Jewellery photography is a fine art!
To start – The lighting has to be similar in angle, strength and style especially with reflective metal objects, such as jewellery. And secondly the retouching of tones and reflections has to match the style of the previous images, its not always as simple as it may look.

I think you’ll agree we made some beautiful images.

Obviously the client was very happy with our efforts too.
