This Melbourne based business supplies both trade and public with all things brass and steel for door fixtures and fittings. The company has several different heads Superior Brass, Au Style, The Builders Choice & The Australian Brass Hardware Company.
we where asked to create some clean, styled product catalogue photography shots for their new marketing material and numerous ecommences websites.
Our brief was to create images that fitted with industry standards and with angles similar in nature to the shots they already have.
Lighting brushed metal and polished metal surfaces is always fun 😉 so first up we needed to create a way to hang all fixture at the same angle, then set lighting and reflectors to infill darker reflections to make the uniform look we where after. Work like this is always done while wearing cotton gloves as to not mark the surfaces before the shots and reduce retouching work.
Then renaming files with sales bar codes and retouch, 100’s of shots later and we all done!
